I literally finished this book in two days because my eyes were glued to the novel. I was extremely satisfied with the book.

I also love the illustration which I just found out that Nicola Yoon's husband designed the cover! But lets talk about what I did not like about this book..
1. It's immensely cliché.. Don't get me wrong, I love a good cheesy book and this novel was different from others but some of the things said in this book could have been done a little more differently...
2. The characters were a little under developed... Yes we know Maddy lives a terribly boring life, loves to read and never goes outside and we know Olly doesn't get along with his father.. But what got Olly into parkour? Why does Maddy like the color white so much? It's the little details I look for in the book because it truly shows how developed the character is... Also, we never get to find out why Olly steals spoons..
3. Things happened a little too fast.. This novel was short for a story line like this. I would have preferred if Maddy and Olly visited each other more often.. Or if we saw more of their online conversations. To me the kiss happened quickly and it was unexpected. However, when she described the kiss and how it felt for Maddy melted my heart. I'll give Yoon that point...
4. THEY SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN HAWAII LONGER! I knew it from the beginning they were going to have sex but not on the first day! Yoon could have gone the Fault In Our Stars approach and have Maddy & Olly stay there longer and maybe the second to last day they get into it.. Another reason they should have stayed longer is because there is a lot more to do in Hawaii than snorkeling, eating, etc.
Overall the novel did affect me, I did cry at one point eventually haha! I would definitely recommend this book only to those who are hopeless romantics...
